It was early in the morning. The salty air had crept under our door and stirred us from our slumber. It beckoned us forward, tempted us to pay homage to the source of its enchantment...the great, mystical ocean. We got ready in a flash and practically tripped over one another as we rushed out of our hotel room. We raced to the water's edge and, being unable to recall our age, aliments and worries, we hurriedly jumped over, ran through and dove under the waves until we finally came to a rest in shoulder-high water. We looked at each other and our joyful smiles immediately erupted into uncontrollable laughter. We laughed until our bellies ached and our cheeks hurt. We laughed for what seemed like hours. We felt childlike wonder and joy fill our hearts for on that day, the magic of the ocean took a hold of our souls and set us all free.

Now, as winter is ending and spring is just around the corner, I can feel the ocean calling me to return again, to once again let the tide carry away my worries and maladies while the salty air invigorates my soul. I will return to the ocean I love so much, only this time, I will find a way to make the week last a lifetime. I will keep a journal of my thoughts and observations, I will write when inspired and I will write without hesitation or critique. I will not try to bottle up or over analyze Ð I will simply live in the moment...
